A great master of the language, he knows how to keep up the reader's interest and we are concerned about his truths but he becomes tiring by the continuous misery from the beginning to the end of the book. «Said it all by Celine. He wrote about the ugly and cruel truth. He reminded us how small and nasty and finished we are. The ornaments of happiness were the shatters of glass, on which we had to walk , barefoot. The part of the description of barbarity and  leveling of the war  was absolutely amazing. It was the most powerful part  of the book […] I was bored as I was reading about the colonies and the galleon».
